Manara Academy will be participating in the Seamless Summer Option (SSO) this summer from
May 27th through June 30th. We will provide Breakfast and lunch to school aged children from
ages 1 – 18 without charge on a first come first serve basis. All meals will be the same meal
pattern for grade groups PreK through 8th grade at the following locations and times:
Manara Academy Arlington Stem: 6101 South Collins St. Arlington Texas 76018.
Irving Elementary: 8201 Tristar Drive, Irving Texas 75063
Phone: 972-304-1155 select appropriate extension
Breakfast hours are between 7:30 and 8:30 AM
Lunch hours are between 11:00 AM and Noon
Days of the week: Monday – Friday. In observance of June 19th(Juneteenth) both campuses will be closed.

Dr. Shaqlaih has completed the Millennium Leadership Initiative (MLI), a national program led by the American Association of State Colleges and Universities in Washington, D.C. Designed to strengthen the American college presidency, MLI prepares leaders with the vision, strategic insight, and executive acumen needed to lead institutions with transformative impact.
Selected as one of only 26 academic leaders across the United States, Dr. Shaqlaih participated in a national cohort of executive-level higher education leaders. Through this intensive, year-long experience, he engaged in advanced leadership development, collaborated closely with senior higher education leaders, and gained direct insight into presidential leadership, governance, and executive decision-making at the highest levels.
An accomplished academic leader, mathematician, and educator, Dr. Shaqlaih is a tenured professor of mathematics and secondary education with a sustained record of excellence across K–20 education. His scholarly work spans mathematical modeling, educator preparation, and student success, reflecting a strong commitment to innovation, academic excellence, and the strengthening of educational systems.
We are honored to benefit from Dr. Shaqlaih’s leadership at Manara Academy. This achievement not only reflects his personal distinction but also reinforces our mission to cultivate excellence, inspire learners, and prepare future generations for success.
