Good Afternoon Manara STEM Families, Does your child want a WEEK'S WORTH OF FREE DRESS DOWN DAYS? If so, please fill out your child's Intent to Return by Wednesday, January 10. The Intent to Return is to be filled out for returning AND non-returning students (EVERYONE) to Manara for the 2024-2025 school year. The classes with 100% Intent to Returns filled out by January 10th will receive FIVE FREE dress down days on January 16th, 17th, 18th, 22nd & 23rd (since January 19 has already been paid for online). Good morning, STEM families! Exciting news! All dress down money is now being collected and paid for ONLINE! Our online payment store now is open for you to be able to pay for multiple dress down days at a time. If your child (or children) enjoys participating in the Friday dress down days, please go to manaraacademy.org, scroll down to "school fees", click on "Arlington STEM", and finally click on "Dress Down Money". The payment is $7.00 for the next 7 dress down weeks (1/3/24 - 2/16/24). CASH WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED tomorrow, so please make sure to fill out the form and payment by tomorrow morning so your child can wear their dress down attire. As soon as you make a payment, I receive a notification that a payment was made, so we will keep track of the dress down days your child has available. If you have any questions, please reach out! Good afternoon, STEM families! Tomorrow, Wednesday, December 13, PTO is hosting a potluck lunch to show appreciation for our STEM teachers and staff! If you would like to contribute, please bring all items in disposable containers and drop them off by 11:30am. Good Afternoon Manara STEM Families, This week is the last week of our 3rd 6 week period. Report cards will go home the week of January 3 upon return from winter break. Remind your scholars to continue to try their best all the way up to the winter break, as teachers will be collecting items to finalize the 3rd 6 week report cards this week! Today the first STAAR Interim reports were sent home with scholars in grades 3-8. A note on how to read your child's STAAR Interim Report was included. Please reach out to your scholar's teacher with any questions regarding the interim reports. Class parties will be held on Friday, December 15. Please reach out to your child's teacher with any questions you may have regarding party details. Within the newsletter this week is a link to fill out a Parent Satisfaction Mid-Year Survey. Good Morning Manara STEM Families, The final two weeks of the third six weeks is upon us! Besides all the great academic learning occuring the next 10 days, we have some exciting events that will also be occurring on campus this week! Please see within the newsletter about our school's Penguin Patch and Winter Wonderland Family Fun Event all happening this week! Please also help me welcome our new security officer, Officer Jones, and our new district maintenance facilitator, Mr. Dimitri to our team! I'm excited to continue to add more members to our Manara family, as the more we continue to grow, the bigger our team will continue to grow as well! Only 10 more school days until the Winter Break! Good afternoon 3rd through 5th grade families, Today your scholar worked hard to complete the STAAR Interim Math exam! I know they will be ready tomorrow for their Reading STAAR Interim. Several scholars came to school today without a charged chromebook, so please make sure they charge their chromebook fully at home tonight, as well as bring a full water bottle and healthy snack from home tomorrow.
