Good afternoon, PK4 through 3rd grade STEM families! Today your scholar will be coming home with a field study permission slip and information about our upcoming field study to the Fort Worth Zoo. Please fill out and return the "Parent Permission" form to your scholar's teacher by April 5. If you would like to chaperone, please fill out the packet that your scholar will also bring home today and attach a copy of your driver's license to the form so we can complete the volunteer background check. The payment for the field study is ONLINE ONLY, so please refer to the note coming home today as to how to proceed with the payment. We are excited to invite you to participate in our annual 5K race! Proceeds from the 5K will promote autism awareness month with the majority of funds will go directly to support the humanitarian efforts in Gaza. This event will be a fun day all! #MAWAY #Run4Gaza

Happy Diagnosticians Week! Manara Recognizes the work of ours and we appreciate all you do for students!

Good afternoon, STEM Families! Our Family Fun Event will be tomorrow, Tuesday, March 5 from 4:00 - 5:30. Dr. Seuss station themed games and crafts will take place, as well as the PTO will be selling nachos and snack items. Come hungry and ready for a lot of fun reading-themed activities! Arlington Charities Mobile Food Pantry will also be here, so fill out the information on the link below if you have not already to sign up to receive FREE GROCERIES (only those families who fill out the information on the link can participate)! Happy Friday Manara STEM Families, This week TELPAS testing will continue for our ESL/EB students in grades 2-8 in the areas of Listening & Speaking. All ESL/EB students have access to Summit K-12 to practice, which mimics the TELPAS testing platform, which can also be practiced at home. Reach out to your child's teacher as to how you can help with the practice from home! Parents of scholars in grades 3-8, would you like a platform where your child can practice more activities in reading, writing, or math? Read within the newsletter a contest through the month of March that our Paper app is hosting (scholars have access through Clever). With completing "Paper Three-Pointers" scholars can be entered to win amazing prizes as well! What a great opportunity for fun AND learning! We're excited to invite you and your family to a spectacular evening of joy and connection at our upcoming Family Fun Night at Arlington Stem Campus! But that's not all—we're also extending a special invitation for you to explore enrollment opportunities and discover the vibrant educational journey awaiting your child at Manara Academy.

To the families of scholars in grades 6th - 8th: On Monday, February 26, an informational meeting will be held in the gym at 4:15pm for parents of scholars in grades 6 - 8 regarding the opportunity of an overnight field study to Space Center Houston and Moody Gardens in Galveston in May. A note went home with some details about the trip with 6th-8th grade scholars on Friday, Feb 23. The meeting on Monday will discuss further details about the trip, as well as Mrs. Vinten will be able to answer any questions you may have. If you are unable to make the meeting and would like to set up an individual conference with Mrs. Vinten to discuss any questions you may have, please email Mrs. Vinten at avinten@manaraacademy.org or reach out to Ms. Tabatha to set up an appointment to meet with her. Good Morning Manara STEM Families, This past week you may have received an email or voice message from the district regarding truancy. Truancy messages will be sent out to parents every two weeks on Fridays at 4:00 p.m. through our automated system as students meet the truancy threshold. When a student arrives after 8:00am or is picked up before 3:30pm on any day, this could count as truancy. Please watch the "Attendance Matters" video within the newsletter to futher explain the importance of daily attendance. This week we have TELPAS testing for our ESL/EB students in grades 2-8. All ESL/EB students have access to Summit K-12 to practice, which mimics the TELPAS testing platform, which can also be practiced at home. Reach out to your child's teacher as to how you can help with the practice from home! Report cards will go home on Monday, February 26, along with STAAR Interim results for grades 3 - 8. And don't forget the new link is up within manaraacademy.org to pay for the new 6-week Friday dress down days. If your child is participating in non-uniform days each Friday, a payment will need to be made on the online website. Good Afternoon Manara STEM Families, Next week begins the start of the 5th 6 week period. Only two more 6 week periods to go! There are a lot of academic and fun events happening the last 3 months of the school year, so make sure and continue to read through the newsletter for all the items, as well as focus on perfect student attendance the last few months of school! We can do it! Monday and Tuesday the scholars do not have school, as Monday is President's Day (holiday) and Tuesday is a staff development day for teachers.
